About Joy Oxford (J.P.) - Marriage Celebrant
Welcome to my Website. My name is Joy Oxford and I am a registered Marriage Celebrant specialising in Weddings - Renewal of Vows - Namings and other Ceremonies.
I am a member of the Celebrants Guild of N.Z. and a Justice of the Peace. I have been a Celebrant for 15 years and bring a wealth of experience to the preparation and presentation of my Ceremonies. I have a professional attitude to my work together with a warm, friendly and relaxed approach. I live in Howick, East Auckland but will travel anywhere to take your Ceremony.
I have conducted Ceremonies in chapels - restaurants - public parks - gardens - beaches - vineyards and private residences and other venues around the greater Auckland region. I have my sea legs so can take Ceremonies on boats. I pride myself in my work and give my personal guarantee that I will work with you to give you a Ceremony you will remember and treasure forever.
My aim is for you to look back on your special day and say "that was perfect - we wouldn't have changed a thing".

Marriage Ceremonies
I tailor my Ceremonies to suit your needs and beliefs. I have a selection of services that you can choose from or I will write a special service for you. I encourage you always to put your personal stamp on your Ceremony. I work with you to compile a service that is appropriate for you and that you are comfortable with.
Once you have met with me and booked me as your Celebrant I confirm that to you in writing together with a package which contains everything you will need pertaining to your Wedding Ceremony.
The package includes: copies of Services - lists of Agreements - Vows - Giving of Rings - suggested Readings and Music and an application form for the Marriage Licence.
In the second meeting we discuss and plan your Ceremony and any special wishes and ideas that you may have. At this time we set a date for a rehearsal if you so wish. I type the service up for you and deliver it to you well before your Wedding Day. On your Wedding Day I arrive at the venue well before the Ceremony commences and make sure everything is in place and as you want it.

Namings
As with Weddings I tailor my naming Ceremonies to suit your needs and beliefs. Because of the difficulties fitting in with children's needs if it's not convenient for you to come to me I will come to your home to discuss your child's Naming Ceremony. I discuss ideas with you and give you a package complete with Services - Readings - meanings of Names etc. You will have your own personal copy of the Service together with a Naming Certificate. My charge is $200.00 or $175.00 if I have previously conducted your Wedding Ceremony.
